KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) invites applications for a Piping Material Engineer. The role focuses on piping design, material specifications, data sheets, and MTO for procurement, collaborating with the Technology Business Unit in Houston.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in piping stress analysis, a B.Tech./B.E. in Mechanical, willingness to travel, and experience managing client relationships across India and Houston.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review client documents and requirements.
• Design all piping components and prepare PMS/VMS.

• Perform wall thickness calculations for pipes.
• Execute technical bid evaluations for piping components.
• Prepare requisitions and support procurement for piping items.
• Review vendor documents and maintain project files.
• Ensure inter-discipline checks and compliance with standards.

Summary Section

Candidate will be responsible for Piping Design of Technology Projects in association with KBR’s Technology Business Unit at Houston

Responsibilities:

1. Reviews the Client’s technical documentation and requirements
2. Responsible for the design of all piping components
3. Issues project piping material specification and piping components data sheets
4. Performs wall thickness calculations of pipes
5. Issues technical bid evaluation for all piping components offers
6. Issues technical part of requisitions for all piping components purchase orders
7. Reviews and approves vendors documents
8. Maintains project technical files and update Company standards
9. Performs the inter-disciplines checking for the part of documents in accordance with the scope of piping material section
10. Checks the material take off issued by the drafting office
11. Prepares mechanical valve data sheets for the body of motorized valves
12. The candidate should be proficient in use of International / National codes and Standards related to piping Engineering.
13. Preparation, review and issuance of PMS, VMS, specification & standards.
14. Responsible for preparation, review and issue of documents related to piping materials MTO for procurement, MR / PR, etc.
15. Preparation and review of datasheets for piping specialty items Technical. bid analysis. Vendors offer / drawing review. Interface with other departments for providing design input. Interaction with Vendors / Clients / Third party members.
16. Knowledge of relevant Code and Standards. Knowledge of ASME , API, EN, BS etc piping material codes. Highly motivated with an innovative and analytical mind. Demonstrates ability to work in a team. Prior experience in technical bid analysis.

Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Relevant experience of 10-15 years in Piping stress Analysis.
• Graduate in B.Tech./ B.E.(Mechanical)
• Comfortable in travelling for work.
• Manages key business relationships with clients and with Technology Business Unit. Managerial teams in India and Houston.
