Job summary

KBR is seeking a Sr. Checker to join its sustainable technology solutions group. The candidate will work within the piping design team on onshore and offshore projects, ensuring design integrity while overseeing project execution.

The role requires a Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical engineering with 15-25 years of piping design experience, strong skills in S3D/AutoCAD/MicroStation, and the ability to lead and mentor junior designers. LNG/Ammonia/Refinery/FPSO experience is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 15-25 years of piping design experience.
• Proficiency in S3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation and MS Office.
• Good communication and ability to guide junior designers.
• ISO checking and back drafting knowledge; support ISO team.
• Experience with LNG/Ammonia/Refinery/FPSO is a plus.

Sr. Checker

Title: Sr. Checker KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for Design Supervisor who possess experience in working within the piping design team on onshore/Offshore projects and ensuring piping design integrity is not compromised while managing the execution of the project.

Responsibilities:

• Develop unit plot plans/equipment layouts
• Layout optimisation study
• Preparation of MTO
• Review of Vendor package

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Candidate should be a Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical
• Excellent knowledge in S3D, MS Office, AutoCAD & MicroStation.
• Good knowledge in mechanical handling concepts
• Good Knowledge of support selection and modelling.
• Special support drawing creation is preferable
• Good knowledge in ISO checking and back drafting and support ISO team on project needs
• Excellent skill to guide young designers
• Good knowledge in conceptual layout study
• Good Communication skills
• 15 - 25 years of experience in above skills & responsibilities
• Knowledge in PML macros development will be considered an added advantage
• Experience in LNG/Ammonia/ Refinery/FPSO will be considered an added advantage
