Job summary

Blackbaud is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to lead reliability, performance, and security of enterprise Oracle databases. You will own day-to-day operations, work on automation-driven upgrades, and implement robust backup and high-availability strategies to support customer commitments.

You will collaborate with cloud teams, monitor health and capacity, and contribute to documentation and runbooks to drive operational excellence across production environments.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure including OCI and Exadata Cloud Service.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database operations: performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high-availability architectures.
• Familiarity with OCI core services related to databases: compute, storage, networking, IAM.
• Hands-on Linux systems experience and database automation or scripting to improve reliability.
• Available on a 24x7x365 basis for production incidents or key customer events.

About the role

As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator, you are a results-driven, customer-focused technical leader responsible for the reliability, performance, and security of Blackbaud’s enterprise Oracle database platforms. • Hands-on experience with Linux systems and database automation or scripting to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
• Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events
