Persistent Systems in Pune seeks a Senior Network Engineer with 10+ years of experience to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure. You will manage firewalls from Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco ASA/FTD, implement secure access, and support Aruba wireless environments.

Qualifications

• Senior network engineer with 10+ years in enterprise networks.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, MPLS and SD-WAN.
• Experience with Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of VPN, IPS/IDS, PKI and 802.1X.
• Cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• ITIL-based incident management and documentation skills.
• CCNP/PCNSE or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS).
• Manage Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls incl. policies and VPNs.
• Deploy Aruba wireless solutions including controllers and Access Points.
• Implement Windows NPS and 802.1X authentication and PKI.
• Support cloud networking in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Provide Level 3 support and perform root cause analysis.
• Create detailed network diagrams and documentation.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with extensive expertise in managing complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Routing & Switching, PaloAlto Firewalls, Aruba Wireless, and other relevant technologies. This role requires advanced technical support capabilities and a proactive approach to network management.

What You'll Do:

• Design, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, and WAN technologies.
• Administer and support Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls, including firewall policies, IPS/IDS, VPNs, and security rule management.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Aruba wireless solutions including Aruba Controllers, Aruba Central, and Access Points.
• Implement and support Windows NPS for secure network authentication using RADIUS and 802.1X protocols.
• Manage and maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments to ensure secure communications and authentication.
• Design and support cloud networking solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including hybrid connectivity models.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex network and security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security posture using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
• Conduct network health assessments, security audits, and vulnerability reviews.
• Create and maintain detailed network diagrams, operational procedures, technical documentation, and configuration backups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to implement infrastructure enhancements and resolve critical issues.
• Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen reliability, scalability, and security.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network support, administration, and operations.
• Strong expertise in Routing & Switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, and WAN environments.
• Proven experience configuring and managing Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco ASA/FTD firewalls.
• Deep knowledge of network security concepts, VPN technologies, IPS/IDS, and access control mechanisms.
• Experience implementing and supporting Windows NPS, RADIUS, 802.1X authentication, and PKI infrastructure.
• Strong working knowledge of Aruba Wireless technologies including Aruba Controllers, Aruba Central, and Access Points.
• Experience with cloud networking services in AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Expertise in network troubleshooting, packet analysis, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, MPLS, hybrid cloud connectivity, and enterprise network architecture.
• Strong understanding of security compliance frameworks, governance standards, and risk management practices.
• Experience working with ITIL-based service management processes and incident management frameworks.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, Aruba Certified Professional, AWS/Azure Networking, or equivalent will be highly preferred.
