Job summary

Persistent Systems in Pune is seeking an experienced AWS Networking Engineer with 8 to 12 years of hands-on expertise in cloud security posturing, AWS networking, and enterprise security. You will design, implement, and operate secure cloud networks across large-scale environments.

The role emphasizes CSPM controls, governance, compliance, migration support, and collaboration with DevOps and security teams to ensure availability, resilience, and scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, Infrastructure or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure and networking services experience.
• Extensive CSPM tools experience and security governance.
• IAM, identity federation, access control policies, and secrets management.
• Security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, risk remediation.
• IaC familiarity with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Agile delivery and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure AWS networking for enterprise environments.
• Manage and optimize AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route Tables, SGs, NACLs, and Load Balancers.
• Implement CSPM controls and security governance frameworks.
• Assess cloud environments for security risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and engineering teams to design secure, scalable cloud solutions.
• Implement network security controls, firewall policies, segmentation strategies, and access management.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure, network performance, and security events for operational stability.
• Develop automation scripts and reusable infrastructure components.
• Participate in DR planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and runbooks.

What You'll Do:

• Design, implement, and support secure AWS networking solutions for enterprise environments.
• Manage and optimize AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, NACLs, and Load Balancers.
• Implement and maintain Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) controls and security governance frameworks.

• Identify risks and dependencies early and drive timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security Operations, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams throughout project delivery.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in Cloud Networking, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and networking services.
• Extensive experience in Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools and practices.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts including VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Route 53, and Load Balancers.
• Experience implementing cloud security controls, governance frameworks, and compliance standards.
• Expertise in network security technologies including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience securing cloud-native applications and enterprise workloads hosted on AWS.
• Knowledge of IAM, identity federation, access control policies, and secrets management.
• Experience with security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and risk remediation.
• Understanding of cloud networking architecture, hybrid cloud connectivity, and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience supporting cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
