Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in network operations
• Experience in production network environment in CISCO, Juniper, Palo Alto Platform
• Extensive experience in a network operation in Security, LAN, WAN as Wireless
• Hands‑on experience on Cisco, Juniper networking stack
• Hands‑on experience on Palo Alto firewall (3020/3050/M-100/5250)
• Strong Knowledge of Routing Protocols: BGP, MPLS, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP
• Knowledge of Switch functions, VLAN, HSRP, STP, VTP, VXLAN, VTEP
• Hands‑on experience in Palo Alto firewall management using Panorama
• Knowledge of Cisco Devices: Cisco 1900/2900/2800/3900, ASR routers Series Routers, Cisco 6500/4500/3750 Nexus Series Switches 9300
• Knowledge of Juniper Devices: MX5T, Ex4200, Ex 9208, Ex 3400, SRX 340/240, Ex 3300, Ex 4300/4600, SRX 340
• Good to have knowledge on Brocade ICX 7250/7750/7450
• Technical knowledge and practical experience of Security technologies and routing protocols, QoS & switching technology
• Conversant in best practice appropriate to network and security
• Excellent communication, collaboration skills for team management and leadership
• Active participation in new technology evaluation, technical inputs for design discussions including support to cross‑functional teams, BoQ preparation, SoW preparation
• Good understanding of hardware and software performance and scaling limitations
• Knowledge of monitoring tools for configuration management, optimization (e.g., SolarWinds, ManageEngine)
• Certification‑must to have CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto; Good to have cloud (AWS/Azure)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain network infrastructure to ensure service uptime 99.99% for all critical services
• Identify single‑point failures (device, service) and provide mitigation / remediation strategy
• Apply advanced troubleshooting skills for incident and problem management (RCA)
• Apply advanced configuration skills for change management
• Assist in S1P1 incidents to technically guide L2 team and engage with TAC
• Work with OEM for best practices adoption
• Provide solutions for optimization of routing/switching technologies and security policy/access rules
• Monitor TAC requests and provide plans for upskilling to reduce TAC dependency
• Provide necessary technical inputs for audit findings
• Support L2 team for VA assessment and remediation
• Provide technical inputs for device hardening/security best practices
• Advance troubleshooting skills for wireless management
• Maintain patch management of devices in production
• Participate in new project requirement discussions for design and provide technical inputs for HLD/LLD phases
• Provide technical support during implementation phase
