Job summary

ACT FIBERNET is recruiting a Field Network Technician to ensure 99.99% customer uptime and proactive maintenance of network elements in the assigned area.

You will troubleshoot networking and hardware issues on site, maintain switches per norms, and provide timely connectivity for cross-functional teams, including incident reporting and escalation when needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma/ITI holder in any discipline.
• Hardware & Networking, MCSE and CCNA preferred.
• 1–5 years of work experience in field service and network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure 99.99% customer uptime in designated area.
• Maintain network switches as per norms.
• Provide timely connectivity for cross-functional teams.
• Maintain the network database and submit reports to reporting manager regularly.
• Attend customer complaints on field and provide quality resolution within the TAT.
• Provide structured fault resolution through analysis and troubleshooting.
• Monitor NMS and take action on events.
• Analyze repeat complaints and implement corrective measures via escalations if needed.
• Adhere to safety and cardinal rules 100% and follow processes.
• Provide feedback to management for permanent service improvements.

Function Name : Fault Repair

Purpose Of The Role

Responsible for 100% customer Service and maintenance of network element on field in the designated area

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume overall responsibility for ensuring 99.99% Customer Uptime
• Ensure that the switches in the network are maintained as per norms
• Ensure support for timely connectivity for all the cross functional teams
• Maintain the network database and submit the required report to the reporting manager on regular intervals
• Attend customer complaints on field and give quality resolution within the TAT
• Provide timely resolution of technical complaints through analysis/ trouble shooting
• Monitor NMS through relevant application and take appropriate action based on the events
• Analyze repeat complaints and ensure implementation of corrective measures through escalations if required
• 100% compliance on safety and cardinal rules
• Responsible for process adherence
• Provide structured feedback to management to provide permanent solutions to improve service level
