The role emphasizes leading scale-up, process optimization and tech transfer, with hands-on work in fermentation technologies and product stability studies to ensure quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in microbial product development, fermentation and formulation development for agricultural biological products.
• Ability to lead R&D from strain/culture development to formulation development and scale-up.
• Strong knowledge of fermentation/process technologies used in agro-biological inputs (SSF/SMF/SCF).

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D and development of microbial / agri-biological products.
• Develop and optimize OD, SL and SC formulations.
• Handle fermentation processes and fermenters from laboratory/pilot to commercial scale.
• Support SSF, SMF, SCF and related fermentation/process technologies.
• Develop and optimize microbial culture, media and fermentation parameters.
• Improve microbial yield, viability, stability, shelf life and formulation performance.
• Lead process scale-up and technology transfer from R&D to production.
• Troubleshoot fermentation and formulation-related process issues.
• Conduct product stability, efficacy and quality studies.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Microbiologist – R&D with strong expertise in microbial product development, fermentation and formulation development for agricultural biological products.

The incumbent will lead R&D activities from strain/culture development and fermentation through formulation development, process optimization, scale-up and technology transfer to commercial production.
