Experience: 2–5 Years (Biofertilizer / Agro Industry Preferred)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the Biofertilizer or Agro industry and be responsible for microbiological testing, culture maintenance, media preparation, laboratory documentation, and quality assurance activities. The candidate must ensure that all raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological testing of Raw Materials (RM), Semi-Finished Goods (SFG), In-Process Samples, and Packed Finished Goods (PFG/PDI).
- Prepare, sterilize, and validate microbiological media as per SOPs.
- Maintain and preserve microbial cultures using standard microbiological techniques.
- Conduct microbial enumeration, purity testing, contamination analysis, and identification of microorganisms.
- Monitor fermentation processes and culture growth parameters.
- Perform environmental monitoring of laboratory and production areas.
- Maintain laboratory records, test reports, logbooks, and batch documentation accurately.
- Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of microbiology laboratory instruments.
- Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), SOPs, biosafety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Support investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) results, contamination issues, and quality deviations.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to maintain product quality and improve manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with FCO guidelines, ISO standards, and internal quality systems.
- Assist during internal, customer, and regulatory audits.

Qualification
- M.Sc. Microbiology
- 2–5 years of experience in the Biofertilizer, Agrochemical, Biotech, Fermentation, or Agricultural Microbiology industry.
- Knowledge of microbiology laboratory practices, microbial culture handling, and quality control procedures.
- Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
