Job summary

Eurofins Analytical Services (India Pvt Ltd) in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Microbiologist to lead the microbiological testing of food, feed and related samples in our Food Testing laboratory. You will review results, ensure accuracy, maintain SOP compliance, and support method verification, validation and QA documentation.

The role requires an MSc in Microbiology or related Life Sciences and 4–7 years of relevant experience in a food testing or microbiology lab.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Microbiology / Food Microbiology / Biotechnology or related Life Sciences discipline.
• Preferably 4–7 years of relevant experience in a food testing or microbiology laboratory.
• Experience with culture-based techniques and rapid microbiological testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee microbiological analysis of food, feed, water and related samples.
• Review analytical results, worksheets and test reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure adherence to approved SOPs, test methods and quality requirements.
• Perform method verification/validation and support implementation of new microbiological test methods.
• Monitor laboratory equipment, media preparation, cultures and environmental conditions.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and ensure data integrity.
• Ensure timely completion of samples while meeting defined TAT and quality standards.
