Job summary

Envirocare Labs Pvt Ltd in Maharashtra seeks an experienced Operational Supervisor for the Microbiology section. You will oversee daily workflow, allocate resources, review results, and ensure compliance with quality systems at the section level.

The role includes leading investigations into deviations and OOS/OOT events, managing training, and driving method development and validation activities to support testing across food, environmental, pharmaceutical, or NABL-accredited labs.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Microbiology or related field.
• Experience requirement: 8–10 years in Food Testing, Environmental Testing, Pharmaceutical, or NABL-accredited Microbiology Laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Plan, allocate, and monitor microbiological testing activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to defined TATs.
• Oversee technical review processes, ensuring reviews are performed by authorized personnel and reviewer competency is maintained within the section.
• Ensure availability, suitability, and proper management of laboratory equipment, media, cultures, reference strains, reagents, and consumables.
• Monitor compliance with SOPs, GLP, biosafety requirements, aseptic practices, and laboratory quality systems.
• Lead daily operations, track performance metrics, investigate deviations, OOS/OOT results, contamination events, and customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage training, competency assessments, and performance evaluation of microbiology personnel, including new joiners.
• Oversee quality assurance activities, including IQC, PT/ILC participation, environmental monitoring, culture maintenance, and trend analysis.
• Lead method development, verification, validation, and transfer activities for microbiological testing.
• Approve routine laboratory requisitions and support the evaluation, qualification, and procurement of laboratory equipment, consumables, and vendors.
