Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior Marine & Coastal Engineer in Chennai to lead marine structural projects, perform analyses, and develop designs in line with international codes.

You will collaborate with geotechnical, civil, electrical and mechanical teams, liaise with clients and regulators, and ensure safe, sustainable outcomes while delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or marine engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in marine structural engineering.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SACS).
• Familiarity with drafting tools (AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (API, DNV, Eurocode).
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations, modeling, and finite element analysis for marine structures.
• Develop design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Experience in feasibility studies, concept designs, and detailed engineering phases.
• Work closely with geotechnical, civil, electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated solutions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to clarify technical requirements.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and sustainability standards; support project managers in delivering engineering solutions on time and within budget.

The Role

As a Senior Marine & Coastal Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attribute.
