Job summary

Worley in Chennai, India, is seeking a Senior Marine & Coastal Engineer to lead structural analysis and design for marine projects, collaborating with geotechnical, civil, electrical, and mechanical teams.

You will develop designs, perform FE analyses, and prepare technical reports in line with international codes and standards, while guiding feasibility studies through detailed engineering phases and ensuring safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or marine engineering; master’s preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in marine structural engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, and SACS.
• Familiarity with drafting tools like AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of API, DNV, and Eurocode standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment.

The Role

As a Senior Marine & Coastal Engineer with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc….

• Should be able to perform structural calculations, modeling, and finite element analysis for marine structures.
• Develop design drawings, specifications, and technical reports in compliance with international codes and standards.
• Experience in feasibility studies, concept designs, and detailed engineering phases.
• Work closely with geotechnical, civil, electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure integrated solutions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to clarify technical requirements.
• Ensure designs meet safety, environmental, and sustainability standards.Support project managers in delivering engineering solutions on time and within budget.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attribute.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in marine structural engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, SACS).
• Familiarity with drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., API, DNV, Eurocode).
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team environment.
