Job summary

Worley is seeking a Marine & Coastal Designer Level I in Chennai to join our team. You will develop 2D drawings, interpret technical sketches, and collaborate with engineers to ensure drawings reflect design intent.

The role requires CAD proficiency and experience in marine structures. Candidates should have a civil engineering diploma or bachelor's degree and 5–15 years of marine-structures experience, with familiarity in BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and related software.

The Role

As a Marine & Coastal Designer Level I with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Should be able to develop 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• Must be able to Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations into precise technical drawings.
• To collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings meet design intent.
• To prepare layouts, sections, elevations, and detailed views for construction or fabrication.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil with proficiency in CAD software. (Autocad, Microstation etc).
• 5-15 years of experience in marine structures.
• Strong technical knowledge for producing drawings as per standards and practices.
• Good communication and work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with BIM tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, S3D , E3D).
