Job summary

Ground Zero in Mumbai seeks an experienced Senior Manager - Technology to lead digital transformation, strengthen MIS reporting, and build in-house tech capacity. You will own the technology roadmap, manage vendors, and guide dashboards and data workflows across multiple teams.

The role requires 5+ years in tech leadership, a strong BI mindset, and the ability to bridge technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Travel and flexible hours may be required to drive the program forward.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technology or MIS leadership roles.
• Proven track record in managing technology infrastructure, dashboard platforms, data workflows, and vendor relationships.
• Prior experience in the non-profit, social impact, or education sector is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor overall MIS operations, reporting systems, and workflow processes across all departments.
• Provide strategic direction and governance to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of technology systems.
• Support the rollout of the digital roadmap and automation processes.
• Conduct guidance, troubleshooting, and skill-building sessions for Junior MIS staff and operational teams.
• Build internal team capacity to understand, manage, and utilize dashboards, reporting tools, and MIS platforms effectively.
• Foster a collaborative, tech-forward culture across program teams.
• Act as the main point of contact for external tech consultants on strategic planning and infrastructure improvements.
• Coordinate with external software vendors for system development, feature enhancements, timeline adherence, and issue resolution.
• Oversee vendor deliverables, SLAs, and technology contracts.
• Design, prepare, and maintain operational and executive dashboards for management visibility and strategic decision-making.
• Troubleshoot MIS challenges including server errors, data integration issues across API connections, and system bugs.
• Coordinate bug-fixing efforts and ensure high data integrity across all platforms.

About the Role

The Senior Manager – Technology will lead the organisation's digital transformation, strengthen internal MIS capabilities, oversee technology vendors, improve reporting systems, and build a scalable technology infrastructure.

Currently, the organisation manages multiple program verticals across its educational and skill-building initiatives. The internal team includes MIS Executives who handle day-to-day data entry and routine operations, but rely on external software vendors and consultants for frontend, backend, database support, API-connected dashboard integrations, server management, and Business Intelligence tooling.

The Senior Manager – Technology will bridge this gap by building in-house technical capacity, taking ownership of the technology roadmap, and serving as the primary point of accountability for MIS performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Guidance & Technology Oversight

• Monitor overall MIS operations, reporting systems, and workflow processes across all departments.
• Provide strategic direction and governance to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of technology systems.

Team Capacity Building & Mentorship
