Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd is seeking a senior Supply Chain professional for CSP duties based in Mumbai. The role focuses on planning, budgeting, and ensuring material availability across launches and API planning, while leading cost-reduction and site-transfer initiatives.

You will supervise end-to-end SCM activities, monitor key metrics like OTIF and forecast accuracy, and drive inventory optimization and risk mitigation across interplants and manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• B.Tech Chemical or MBA in Supply Chain Management is required.
• 15–20 years of experience in supply chain roles.

Responsibilities

• Review the production plan (commercial Launch & Filling – API Planning).
• Review the Raw material plan (commercial Launch & Filling – API Planning).
• Review the Intermediates availability from the interplants (commercial Launch & Filling – API Planning).
• Ensure the DRP, APO and MRP processes are followed.
• Finalise the budget activity.
• Ensure product availability for DF and Marketing.
• Resolve chronic supply issues.
• Perform long-range capacity planning.
• Oversee site transfer for API & Intermediates.
• Monitor SCM metrics and take corrective actions (DCS, Inventory, OTIF, forecast fidelity, forecast accuracy).
• Lead SCM cost-reduction efforts, site transfers, AVD, product internalization plans.
• Conduct inventory optimization and liquidation of non-moving stock.
• Prepare daily reports and govern S&OP processes.

• Demand Fidelity (Captive, Filling, Launch & Marketing)
• NPL, Filling & Query Batches Supply management
• SCM Process maturity - Norms Setting, Cost to Serve, Planning Master Data Controller
• Chronic Supply Issues Resolution (Captive & Market)
• Inventory optimization
• Data management and support for the S&OP process.
• Daily / Weekly MIS report review & take necessary action.
