Job Description:
The four main activities mentioned above are allocated to the Senior Manager by the QC Product line Manager with respect to up-coming and on-going projects. They include:
- Supplier Quality Assurance:
- Conducting pre-qualification audit for new suppliers,
- Performing requalification audits of NGI registered suppliers,
- Performing supplier performance audits,
- Ensuring that at every stage quality process are monitored and followed by suppliers,
- Managing the NGI supplier's qualification database.
- Quality control for locally manufactured equipment (Indigenization projects)
- Reviewing of the suppliers proposed Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs),
- Supervising of Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) inspections,
- Reviewing of inspections reports,
- Ensuring timely receipt and review of reports and evidences from supplier as per QAPs,
- Coordinating with internal teams and with customers for stage inspections and validation of reports,
- Recording and maintaining QC data as per internal procedures,
- Timely closing of QAPs.
- Quality Control for submarines maintenance services or submarines construction:
- Building/validating the detailed QAPs based on input specification and scope of work, and performing quality risk assessment,
- Preparing, planning, executing, monitoring Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) inspections,
- Coordinating with production teams (NGI and/or services suppliers) as well as shipyards,
- Preparing and reviewing of inspections reports,
- Coordinating with customers/suppliers for inspections and validation of reports,
- Ensuring timely receipt and review of reports and evidences from supplier as per QAPs,
- Managing the calibration of NGI tools and recording related data,
- Recording and maintaining QC data as per internal procedures,
- Timely closing of QAPs.
- NGI Quality Assurance
- Contributing to internal and external ISO audits,
- Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Designing Quality report templates when needed,
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of ISO processes and SOPs,
In addition to above mentioned activities, with respect to up-coming and on-going projects allocated to him, the Senior Manager will be responsible of:
- Ensuring and implementing Safety at Works and Security rules of the company,
- Ensuring and implementing Non-Conformity, Corrective and Preventive action (CAPA) and Waiver processes,
- Reporting and escalation in case of any deviation,
- Applying ISO processes,
- Applying NGI Compliance procedures.
Skills Required
- Good ability to read and comprehend system engineering drawings, documents, equipment technical manual, suppliers’ specifications,
- Experience in performing quality inspections and quality supervision of suppliers,
- Experience in preparation of inspection and audit report,
- Communication skills oral and written,
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/2015,
- Proficient with MS office,
- Experience in use of instruments used for quality inspections,
- Knowledge of quality tests procedures and standards in relation to Naval industry, including calibration process, laboratory checks, special process etc.
