Job summary

Talent Hr Networks is seeking a seasoned QMS & EHS Head for our client in Navi Mumbai (Taloja). The role demands 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial environments and a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

You will lead QMS and EHS programs, drive audits to ISO standards, manage CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives, and build high-performing teams while ensuring regulatory compliance and safety excellence.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial environments.
• BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Experience leading QMS and EHS teams, audits, and CAPA programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve QMS aligned with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Lead EHS programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Drive internal and external audits, management reviews and certification audits.

QMS & EHS Head

Experience - 15 to 20 years in experience in manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial environments preferred.

Qualification - B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

1- Quality Management

• Effective implementation and maintenance of QMS in accordance with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Achievement of quality objectives and customer satisfaction targets.
• Reduction in customer complaints, defects, and process non-conformities.
• Timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

2- Environment, Health & Safety

• Zero-fatality and reduction of workplace incidents and unsafe conditions.

• Achievement of EHS performance indicators and safety targets.
• Effective emergency preparedness and response management.

Compliance & Audit Management

• Successful completion of internal, external, customer, and certification audits.

Core Responsibilities

1- Quality Management System (QMS)

• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve Quality Management Systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Lead internal audits, management reviews, and certification audits.
• Manage CAPA, non-conformance reports, and root cause investigations.
• Establish and control quality documentation, SOPs, procedures, and work instructions.
• Coordinate customer audits and quality improvement initiatives.

2- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

• Develop and maintain EHS Management Systems aligned with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
• Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.
• Monitor environmental aspects and impacts.
• Ensure compliance with statutory EHS requirements.
• Organize safety training, awareness programs, and emergency drills.
• Drive occupational health and safety improvement initiatives.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor Quality and EHS teams.
• Develop employee competencies through training and coaching.
• Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Reporting & Performance Management

• Prepare management review reports and compliance dashboards.
• Present quality and EHS performance to senior leadership.
• Track action plans and improvement initiatives.
