Aliaxis is seeking a Manufacturing Plant Quality Head to oversee all quality activities at the plant, ensuring products meet required standards and driving continuous improvement. The role partners with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure compliance and system effectiveness.

You will lead governance, audits, and capability development, shaping a quality culture, and delivering zero-defect manufacturing through proactive initiatives.

Qualifications

15-20 years of quality leadership experience.
Proven expertise in QMS, ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements.
Experience in systems thinking, risk-based approaches and structured problem solving.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain IMS aligned with ISO requirements.
Establish QA processes for incoming material, in-process, testing, release, storage, and dispatch.
Lead internal and regulatory audits and ensure timely corrective actions.
Coach teams on 7QC tools, RCA, and 8D to build quality capability.
Monitor site quality KPIs and drive Kaizen for defect reduction.
Drive data-driven decision making for zero defect manufacturing.

Job description

Role Summary

The Manufacturing Plant Quality Head is responsible for managing and overseeing all quality-related activities within the manufacturing plant. This role ensures that all products meet the required quality standards and specifications, and that quality processes are implemented and maintained effectively. The position involves working closely with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure quality compliance and continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibility

Quality Governance & Systems Development

Site coordinator for IMS, define and maintain the site Integrated Management System (IMS) aligned with Aliaxis global standards and ISO requirements. Establish robust Quality Assurance processes covering incoming material, in-process control, testing, release, storage, and dispatch. Ensure all quality systems are audit-ready, standardized, and continuously improved. Own the plant’s Quality Risk Management framework, including PFMEAs, control plans, and quality alerts.

Compliance, Standards & Audit Management

Ensure 100% compliance with regulatory, statutory, and customer-specific requirements. Lead internal, external, regulatory, and IMS audits for the site, ensuring timely closure of NCs and systemic corrective actions. Act as the site’s primary interface with BIS and external inspection bodies, ensuring transparent communication and timely submissions.

Leadership, Culture Building & Capability Development

Build a quality culture across the plant emphasizing prevention, ownership, and accountability. Coach and mentor plant teams on structured problem solving (7QC tools, 6 Step RCA, 8D etc). Develop quality talent and succession capability within the QA team. Facilitate cross-functional learning programs on quality standards, customer expectations, and system compliance.

Customer Quality & Issue Resolution

Ensure rapid, transparent, and structured response to customer complaints, driving systematic and preventive solutions. Conduct customer complaint trend analysis and drive closure of chronic issues through cross-functional collaboration. Maintain customer confidence by ensuring timely and high-quality technical communication.

Operational Quality Leadership

Establish and monitor site quality KPIs, including defect rates, material rejections, Cost of Claims and customer complaint trends. Lead proactive quality improvement projects targeting defects, process capability, and product robustness. Ensure routine maintenance of Q components and calibrations of measuring instruments.

Strategic Improvement & Change Leadership

Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives at the site. Drive Kaizen / Poka Yoke for Defect Reduction Promote data-driven decision-making. Lead cross-functional efforts to achieve Zero Defect Manufacturing and enhance customer satisfaction.

Role Specific Competencies

Strong knowledge and experience in QMS implementation, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.
Expertise in system thinking, quality governance, and risk‑based approaches.
Good knowledge of PVC / CPVC process technology Advanced skills in structured problem solving and statistical quality tools.
Demonstrated capability to lead transformation and cultural change.

Certifications Required

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
