The Senior Manager – Project Delivery will lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects from initiation through completion. This role is responsible for establishing delivery standards, managing cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a strategic, results-oriented leader who can manage multiple priorities, resolve delivery challenges, and consistently achieve project outcomes within agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget parameters.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Delivery
- Provide end-to-end leadership for strategic and high-impact projects.
- Define project objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, governance structures, and success criteria.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved quality standards.
- Establish effective project management practices, methodologies, processes, and reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor project progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions when required.
- Drive timely decision-making and remove obstacles that may affect delivery performance.
Stakeholder and Client Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, clients, business leaders, and delivery partners.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, financial performance, and key decisions clearly and regularly.
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment among business, technology, operations, and other project stakeholders.
- Lead governance meetings, steering committee reviews, project checkpoints, and executive-level presentations.
- Resolve escalated issues and manage stakeholder concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Team Management and Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, delivery leads, and cross-functional project teams.
- Define roles and responsibilities and promote accountability across delivery functions.

- Support resource planning, capacity management, performance evaluation, and succession planning.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and the adoption of industry best practices.
Risk, Issue, and Change Management
- Establish and maintain comprehensive risk, issue, dependency, and assumption management processes.
- Anticipate delivery risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Govern change requests and assess their impact on scope, cost, timelines, resources, and quality.
- Ensure effective escalation and resolution of critical project issues.
- Maintain clear documentation and audit trails for project decisions and changes.
Financial and Operational Management
- Own project budgets, forecasts, financial tracking, and cost-control activities.
- Review project financial performance and take appropriate action to manage variances.
- Support vendor selection, contract management, procurement coordination, and partner performance reviews.
- Ensure delivery operations comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce delivery costs, and maximize business value.
Process Improvement and Quality Assurance
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes, tools, and operating models.
- Establish quality assurance checkpoints and ensure adherence to defined delivery standards.
- Promote the use of appropriate delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches, based on project requirements.
- Conduct project reviews, lessons-learned sessions, and post-implementation assessments.
- Implement improvements that enhance predictability, transparency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in project delivery, program management, transformation, or a related leadership function.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional, and high-value projects.
- Experience leading project managers and distributed teams across multiple business functions or locations.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of project and program management principles, governance frameworks, and delivery methodologies.
- Practical experience with project planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, risk management, and reporting.
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong understanding of project financial management, vendor governance, change control, and quality assurance.
- Ability to interpret project data, performance metrics, and financial information to support informed decision-making.
