Job summary

Motherson Group is seeking a Senior Manager in PPC & SCM in Chennai. You will lead production planning, capacity management, and ERP-driven operations, driving cost savings and process improvements. You will mentor PPC teams and align cross-functional teams to meet targets.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years in PPC & SCM with leadership exposure, strong SAP PP/MM expertise, and a background in automotive or heavy manufacturing. This is an on-site role with growth opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or MBA preferred.
• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years of PPC & SCM experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong expertise in SAP PP/MM and ERP systems; automotive/heavy engineering/manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation, and MRP.
• Ensure adherence to production timelines and delivery commitments.
• Lead utilization of SAP PP/MM for planning, inventory, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate SAP data for real-time visibility and decision making.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within PPC.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams to resolve bottlenecks.
• Monitor shop floor activities and ensure smooth workflow execution.
• Communicate production targets, progress, and challenges to senior leadership.
• Maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Implement cost-control measures to improve efficiency.
• Track variances, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify process gaps and implement lean manufacturing practices.
• Benchmark industry standards and push PPC/SCM innovation.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to PPC teams with accountability.

This position replacement for Mr. Vinod Kumar D ( Assistant General Manager - PPC & SCM). We proposed to take Senior Manager Level and Cost savings Per annum amount of Rs.18,90,252/-.
