Job summary

Kirloskar Ebara Pumps is seeking a QA-focused professional to guide metallic casting quality and supplier performance. You will oversee material properties, address deviations, and ensure CAPA closure while coordinating with machine shop and QA teams.

Responsibilities include handling NCRs, NDT issues, and data collection on casting defects. Knowledge of ASTM standards and ITP monitoring will support procurement and supplier evaluations within an ISO/EMS framework.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA and supplier casting quality issues.
• Involvement in inventory activities.
• Ability to coordinate with internal departments (Machine shop, QA).
• Familiarity with ISO, EMS, OHSAIS standards and audits.

Responsibilities

• Assess properties of received material per standards and address deviations.
• Monitor metallic material quality by property and track CAPA.
• Address NCRs and failures in metallic components.
• Analyze NDT failures in components.
• Collect data on daily MOP loss due to casting defects.
• Provide feedback to foundry on casting defects and debit salvage values.
• Issue received castings with proper identification to Machine Shop.
• Study ASTM standards and prepare material data sheets for casting grades.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and reevaluations.
• Review ITP and monitor casting procurement.

Job description

• To guide marketing/ design for selection of M.O.C. for our pumps as per applications
• To guide the foundries for developments of castings, alloys for our requirements.
• To guide our Q.A. to control quality objectives, try out/ experiments to achieve required parameters
• To guide purchase dept. for metallic component procurements.

Role & responsibilities :

• Properties of Received material, as per standards. Received material deviations corrections, if needed. Suggestions to CAPA.
• Metallic material quality achievements on property wise.
• Attending, NCR and failure in property achieved, in metallic components.
• NDT failures in components.
• Data collection regarding daily MOP loss due to casting defect
• To give feedback to foundry regarding casting defects & debit the salvaging amount
• To issue the received castings with proper identification to M/C shop dept.
• Study of ASTM standards & prepare Material data sheet for different casting grades.
• Supplier evaluation & reevaluation process.
• Study of ITP & monitor the casting procurement
