Job summary

Victory Precisions in Pune District, India, seeks a QA/Process Quality Engineer to lead daily foundry quality meetings and drive KPI attainment. You will ensure conformance of inspection layouts, manage CAPA for NC findings, and coordinate with QA and production to maintain defect-free castings.

You will validate process parameters, support new product introductions, and mentor subordinates per the Sr. Manager QA. Regular lab testing and documentation are expected.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in mechanical/industrial engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in quality assurance and manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of QA tools like CAPA, Kaizen and FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Quality Meeting at casting stage with QA Inprocess & final Inspectors.
• Work towards achieving KPI targets and ensure compliance of inspection layouts.
• Monitor daily rejection, rework and initiate CAPA actions.
• Ensure availability of drawings, gauges, SOPs, process sheets and reports.
• Identify and implement Kaizens and provide CAPA for nonconformances.
• Oversee lab testing frequencies including sand, mechanical, microstructure, spectro and hardness.
• Validate process parameters and approve deviations per customer criteria.
• Prepare training plans and evaluate subordinates with Sr. Manager QA.
• Participate in CFT for new product development and ensure defect-free foundry output.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. To conduct Daily Quality Meeting at Casting stage with QA Inprocess & final Inspectors
2. To work towards achieving KPI targets
3. To ensure Complaince of layout inspection of castings & initiate corrective action based on observations
4. To Monitor daily rejection ,Rework & initiate CAPA
5. To ensure availibility of required -Drawing / gauges / instruments / customer standard/SOP / Process parameter sheet /Process validation reports/control plan /PFD /FMEA/FPIR
6. To identify and implement the Kaizens
7. Defect identification & feedback to Process owner in case of NC.
8. Follow up for CAPA from production dept.
9. To ensure Lab testing is done as per frequency -sand testing ,mechanical testing, microstructure, spectro ,density ,DP test ,Hardness etc
10. Ensure calibration of Foundry instruments / thermocople/Heat treatment furnance etc.
11. Initiate step-3 whenever customer complaint is reported or for internal compaint & External complaints
12. To ensure CAPA actions on non confirmance against process audit.
13. To ensure CAPA actions on non confirmance against product audit.
14. To evaluate skills of subordinatess, prepare training needs and ensure training received to them. This is to be done with the help of Sr.Manager QA
15. To take part in CFT for new product development.
16. To ensure daily line rejection disposal thru daily QSR
17. To ensure Visual inspection at foundry stage & pass foundry defect free casting to next stage
18. To have Partwise /Defectwise -Acceptance criteria available

AUTHORITIES

1. Reject Nonconforming Material & stop production if required.
2. Initiate CAPA, considering in house & customer rejections
3. Co-ordination for development projects
4. To validate the Process Parameters
5. Deviation approval based on Customer Acceptance Criteria
6. Leave Sanction of sub-ordinates who are reporting to you
7. Training plan for sub-ordinates reporting to you
