Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a qualified Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer with 4–6 years of automotive experience to lead supplier quality initiatives. The role focuses on resolving quality issues, driving APQP/PPAP, and ensuring robust CAPA actions with structured problem solving.

You will audit supplier processes, develop capabilities in sheet metal, welding, and special processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet cost, delivery, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Automobile fields.
• 4-6 years in Automobile working in Supplier Quality Assurance.
• Experience with quality systems and standard processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives for casting components.
• Monitor supplier performance via KPIs, PPM, rejections, warranty, and loss incidents.
• Lead supplier issue resolution using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and ensure CAPA effectiveness.
• Conduct supplier process audits; ensure closure and effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Support supplier evaluation and qualification for new supplier development and onboarding.
• Drive APQP activities and PPAP approvals for new product development and localization projects.
• Manage supplier changes through change management processes.
• Develop supplier capabilities in sheet metal manufacturing, welding, surface treatment, and other special processes.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Design, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to meet quality, cost, delivery, and project goals.
• Maintain IMS, customer requirements, and quality dashboards and continuous improvement initiatives.
