Job summary

Hector And Streak Consulting in Mumbai seeks an experienced Project Planning Lead to drive planning and coordination for large hospitality projects throughout the lifecycle.

You will develop integrated schedules, perform delay and risk analyses, and coordinate across design, construction, procurement, finance, and operations teams.

The role requires a civil engineering background and 15+ years in project planning, with proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• 15+ years of experience in project planning, coordination, or controls.
• Experience leading planning for large-scale hospitality or real estate projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, delay analysis, risk assessment, and reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6, and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and coordination for large hospitality projects.
• Maintain integrated project plans, master schedules, milestone trackers, and progress dashboards.
• Conduct delay analysis to identify schedule slippages, critical-path impacts, root causes, and recovery requirements.
• Perform project risk analysis, maintain risk registers, and assess schedule, cost, scope, and delivery risks.
• Develop and coordinate mitigation plans with project teams and stakeholders; track actions through to resolution.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Track progress against approved schedules, budgets, scope, and deliverables, escalating emerging issues and decisions as needed.
• Facilitate project review meetings and ensure decisions, actions, and follow-ups are documented and completed.
• Work closely with design, construction, procurement, finance, operations, and business teams to resolve coordination issues.
• Prepare management reports, project updates, delay and risk assessments, and escalation notes for leadership.
• Support resource planning and coordination across multiple projects.
• Monitor change requests and assess their impact on schedule, cost, scope, and resources.
• Establish consistent project planning, reporting, risk management, and coordination processes across the projects team.
• Maintain accurate project records, approvals, trackers, and documentation.
• Coordinate project handover activities with hotel operations and other relevant teams.

• 15+ years of relevant experience in project planning, coordination, or project controls.
• Experience individually leading planning and coordination for large-scale projects.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality, hotel development, or large-scale construction projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and project workstreams.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling, delay analysis, risk assessment, mitigation planning, and management reporting.
• Proficiency with project planning and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, and advanced Excel.
• Experience with project management or collaboration platforms is an advantage.
