Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks a senior Supply Chain Leader in Coimbatore, India to oversee Materials Planning, Inventory Management and Logistics for the facility. Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule aligned with demand forecasts, orders, inventory targets, and capacity.

You will drive S&OP, collaborate across Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales and Engineering, monitor adherence, optimize inventory, and lead cost-competitive improvements.

Qualifications

  • BE in engineering, production or supply chain is required.
  • 10–15 years in manufacturing with most time in supply chain management.
  • Lean manufacturing experience essential with material pull systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Materials Planning, Inventory Management, Logistics functions for facility.
  • Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with demand forecasts, customer orders, inventory targets, and production capacity.
  • Plan raw materials supply and manage supplier delivery performance to support production execution while optimizing inventory and service levels.
  • Drive integrated business planning through effective S&OP processes.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Sales, and Engineering teams to align production schedules with business priorities.
  • Monitor and improve schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Accountable for inventory accuracy and problem solving the drivers of inaccuracy.
  • Lead scenario planning and contingency planning to address demand fluctuations, material shortages, and operational disruptions.
  • Monitor and mitigate risk associated with Excess & Obsolescence.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics to optimize cost and service requirements.
  • Manage internal logistics to support production execution while minimizing issues that impact inventory accuracy and component quality.
  • Experience in Plan-For-Every-Part analysis and deployment, and Kan Ban pull replenishment systems execution.
  • ERP super-user experience with exposure to major changes or ERP transitions is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of driving supply chain transformation and cost optimization initiatives.

  • Extensive experience in lean manufacturing environments, including material pull systems. MRP only backgrounds would not be successful in this role.
  • Experience required in Plan-For-Every-Part analysis and deployment as well as Kan Ban pull replenishment systems execution.
  • Experience as an ERP super-user with exposure to major changes and/or ERP transitions is highly desirable.
