Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks a senior mechanical designer with 10–14 years in hydraulics to develop and optimize components for CNG/LPG/liquids handling. You will create solid models in Creo 2, apply DFA/DFM, and ensure GD&T compliance while driving cost-effective material choices.

Responsibilities include design reviews, test planning, and engineering change management, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for fueling operations.

Qualifications

• Total 10–14 years of experience in core hydraulic domain.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech./B.S.).
• Post-Graduation/ PGDM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate solutions to requirements through creative thinking.
• Analytically design/develop/evaluate hydraulic components like STP, Pumps, Meters, and system design for liquids/gases.
• Develop detailed solid models and drawings using Creo 2, considering DFA/DFM.
• Select and specify materials to satisfy design intent while minimizing costs.
• Conduct GD&T to control hydraulic performance and accuracy.
• Communicate design approach and tradeoff analysis.
• Prepare and build prototypes; follow test plans to prove feasibility and reliability.
• Coordinate quality controls and measurements; manage engineering changes.

• Analytically design / develop / evaluate hydraulic components like STP, Pumps, Meters and System Design typically to transfer / dispense liquids & gases such as CNG, LNG, and LPG etc.
• Develop detailed solid models and drawings for solutions using Pro/ENGINEER (Creo 2) considering Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing
• Select and specify materials to satisfy design intent while minimizing costs.
• Conduct Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to control hydraulic performance and accuracy
• Communicates design approach and tradeoff analysis
• Prepare & build for Prototype concepts / samples
• Generate, coordinate, & follow test plans to prove out design feasibility and reliability.
• Coordinate Quality Controls and Measurements
• Perform Engg. Change management activities.
