Responsibilities

• Prepare analysis to identify areas of improvement for recurring losses.
• Develop trackers for loss-control exercises conducted for various clients.
• Draft reports for each MLCE visit and present key points.
• Check vessels prior to loading bulk cargoes.
• Prepare root-cause analysis for high-value claims and support inspections of over-dimensioned and project cargo.

Qualifications

B.Sc in Ship Repairs / Nautical Science, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 10 years of experience.

• Have carried out loss-minimising activities.
• Sailed for five years onboard a bulk carrier.
• Served as Chief Officer on an oil tanker for a minimum of five years.
• Held the position of Second Officer or served as a Hull Artificer on Indian Naval Fleet ships.
• Familiar with bunkering, de-bunkering, ballasting, de-ballasting, and watering.
• Responsible for loss minimising of marine cargo.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for losses of various commodities.
• Compile benchmarks for packing used by comparable vendors.
• Prepare reports on findings, lessons learned, and cost-effective methods to eliminate recurring losses.
• Travel to sites 50-60% of the time across the country.
