Job summary

Ivy Mobility is seeking an experienced QA Manager (Manual & Functional Testing) to lead QA for enterprise SaaS products and applications. You will define and execute the QA strategy, lead QA teams, and drive continuous improvement across the SDLC.

The role requires strong hands-on testing capabilities, testing across API and database layers, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Business, and Delivery teams to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

  • 10-14 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.
  • Strong experience in Manual & Functional Testing.
  • Proven experience managing QA teams and leading testing for enterprise apps or SaaS.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and QA methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in: Functional & System Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, End-to-End Testing, Exploratory Testing, UAT, API Testing, Database Testing.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, HTTP methods, and API validation.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of defect management, RCA, risk assessment, and release management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the complete STLC from requirement analysis through release validation.
  • Review business and technical requirements and identify quality risks, gaps, dependencies, and test scenarios.
  • Develop and review test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and traceability matrices.
  • Lead functional, system, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, and UAT testing.
  • Drive API and database testing and validation.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage across critical business workflows and customer journeys.
  • Own the complete defect lifecycle, including identification, prioritization, triage, RCA, tracking, and closure.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to resolve defects.
  • Establish release quality gates and Go/No-Go recommendations.
  • Monitor production defects and drive initiatives to reduce defect leakage.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, quality, productivity, and release predictability.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership across Product and Engineering teams.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Manager Manual & Functional Testing to lead quality assurance for Ivy Mobility's enterprise SaaS products and applications.

The role will be responsible for defining and executing the QA strategy, leading QA teams, ensuring comprehensive functional and manual testing, managing release quality, and driving continuous improvement across the Software Development Life Cycle.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, API Testing, Database Testing, Defect Management, and Test Management, along with proven people leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Business, and Delivery teams to ensure high-quality, reliable, scalable, and customer-focused product releases.

Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and implement the overall QA strategy, test approach, standards, processes, and quality gates.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team.
  • Plan QA activities, resource allocation, estimates, timelines, and release commitments.
  • Establish quality metrics and continuously improve QA effectiveness and productivity.
Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Own the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) from requirement analysis through release validation.
  • Review business and technical requirements and identify quality risks, gaps, dependencies, and test scenarios.
  • Develop and review test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, and traceability matrices.
  • Lead functional, system, integration, regression, end-to-end, exploratory, and UAT testing.
  • Drive API and database testing and validation.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage across critical business workflows and customer journeys.
Defect & Release Management
  • Own the complete defect lifecycle, including identification, prioritization, triage, RCA, tracking, and closure.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to resolve critical and high-priority defects.
  • Conduct regular defect triage and quality review meetings.
  • Establish release quality gates and provide Go/No-Go recommendations.
  • Monitor production defects and drive initiatives to reduce defect leakage.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, quality, productivity, and release predictability.
  • Drive QA process improvements, standardization, and best practices.
  • Identify suitable test cases for automation and collaborate with automation teams.
  • Promote a culture of quality ownership across Product and Engineering teams.
Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience testing large-scale web and mobile applications.
  • Exposure to microservices, cloud platforms, APIs, and distributed systems.
  • Experience in Retail, FMCG/CPG, Distribution, DMS, Supply Chain, or Enterprise Business Applications.
  • Exposure to Performance, Security, Accessibility, and other non-functional testing.
  • Understanding of CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
  • Experience working with globally distributed Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
