Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Manual & Functional QA Engineer who is passionate about ensuring product quality and delivering defect-free releases. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in requirement analysis, test design, functional testing, API validation, and database testing.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Support teams to validate business workflows, ensure application stability, and contribute to high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & Manual Testing

• Analyze BRDs, PRDs, and User Stories to understand business requirements and workflows.
• Design and prepare:
  • Test Scenarios
  • Test Cases
  • Test Data
• Perform End-to-End Functional Testing.
• Execute Regression, Sanity, and Exploratory Testing.
• Validate UI functionality, business workflows, calculations, and data consistency.
• Identify edge cases and negative test scenarios to improve product quality.

API & Integration Testing

• Test and validate REST APIs using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
• Verify request/response structures and business rule validations.
• Validate authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Perform integration testing across microservices and interconnected systems.

Database Validation

• Write SQL queries for backend data validation.
• Validate data integrity and transaction consistency.
• Work with databases including:
  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • MongoDB (basic validation)

Release & Production Validation

• Participate in sprint planning, grooming sessions, and requirement discussions.
• Perform release validation and smoke testing.
• Support UAT and production verification activities.
• Coordinate with support teams for defect verification and issue resolution.

Defect Management & Documentation

• Log, track, and manage defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Provide detailed reproduction steps and impact analysis for reported issues.
• Validate bug fixes and perform RCA verification.
• Maintain test documentation, test evidence, and traceability matrices.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Manual & Functional Testing.
• Excellent requirement analysis and business logic validation skills.
• Hands-on experience in API Testing (Postman).
• Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience testing web-based applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to Have

• Basic exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Cypress.
• Understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with application logs and basic debugging.
• Domain experience in Finance, Analytics, or Enterprise Applications.
