Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Gurugram is seeking an experienced procurement professional to negotiate commercial terms, optimize price structures, and manage delivery schedules to maximize value for the organization.

You will develop breakthrough sourcing strategies, drive VA/VE initiatives, audit vendors, and monitor performance through scorecards, while collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Design and other teams to sustain continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial and contractual terms, including price structures, milestones, delivery schedules, and terms for job work and labour.
• Develop procurement strategies to achieve cost benefits across plates, forgings, castings, pipes, motors, gears, seals, and CAPEX items.
• Strengthen vendor capabilities via audits, reports, and improvements; monitor performance with scorecards.
• Foster cross‑functional collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Design, and other teams.
• Lead VA/VE initiatives and supplier-driven cost improvements and component development.

Job description

Negotiate commercial and contractual terms including price structures, payment milestones, delivery schedules, and terms for job work and labour work - to ensure optimal value for the organization.

Develop and recommend breakthrough procurement strategies to management, targeting measurable cost benefits and savings across categories such as plates, forgings, castings, pipes & pipe fittings (from steel mills and foundries), bought-out items (motors, gears, mechanical seals), tailor‑made and standard BO items, capex items, indirect materials, consumables, maintenance goods, labour contracts, and subcontracting (fabrication, machining, etc.).

Strengthen and enhance vendor capabilities by conducting vendor audits, preparing audit reports, and driving product and process improvements. Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and rankings to ensure consistent adherence to defined quality, delivery, and service expectations.

Build strong cross‑functional collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Design, and other internal teams to support smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Lead supplier‑related problem‑solving initiatives including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE), supplier component development and approval, and supplier‑driven cost improvement activities
