Smile Foundation is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Fundraising Manager to drive corporate and institutional fundraising initiatives across Southern India. This role will be instrumental in helping the organization achieve its annual fundraising target of INR 200+ crore nationwide by securing and managing partnerships with corporations, foundations, and high-value donors.
Based in Bangalore, the Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing strategic donor relationships, identifying new funding opportunities, and managing a portfolio that generates significant annual revenue. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams across Smile Foundation offices while contributing to meaningful social impact.
We are looking for a highly motivated professional with a strong track record in fundraising, relationship management, and donor stewardship who is passionate about advancing Smile Foundation’s mission.
Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors, generating approximately INR 10 crore+ in annual revenue.
Develop and execute annual fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship plans to strengthen donor engagement and retention.
Identify, cultivate, and secure new funding opportunities, including grants, CSR partnerships, and foundation support across Southern India.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective corporate and institutional donors.
Develop long-term donor engagement strategies to enhance commitment and increase philanthropic investment.
Stay informed on organizational priorities, program developments, and impact outcomes to align donor interests with funding opportunities.
Lead donor meetings, presentations, proposal discussions, and partnership negotiations.
Collaborate with the Head Office, Program Operations, Proposal Development, and Finance teams to:
Work closely with the Donor Engagement team to plan and execute donor visits, events, and engagement initiatives.
Maintain accurate donor records, revenue forecasts, and stewardship activities through Salesforce or other CRM platforms. Strategic Planning
Analyze donor trends and market intelligence across Southern India to support fundraising strategy and planning.
Represent Smile Foundation at fundraising events, networking forums, conferences, and donor cultivation meetings.
Prepare revenue forecasts, donor reports, and performance dashboards for leadership review.
Collaborate with fundraising colleagues across regions on strategic accounts and partnership opportunities.
Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support organizational goals.
10-12 years of fundraising experience, preferably with corporations, foundations, CSR partners, or institutional donors.
Bachelor’s degree required; a postgraduate qualification in Management, Social Development, Communications, or a related field is an advantage.
Proven success in securing and managing grants and partnerships ranging from INR 25 lakh to INR 5 crore range
Strong experience in identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with corporate partners, and foundations
Demonstrated ability to build and manage fundraising pipelines that deliver measurable revenue growth.
Excellent presentation, proposal writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of India’s CSR ecosystem, regulatory framework, and philanthropic landscape.
Experience working with donor databases and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
Ability to analyze donor data and translate insights into actionable fundraising strategies.
Exceptional attention to detail, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
High proficiency in written and spoken English.
