Job summary

Phoenix Incorporated is seeking a Senior Manager – Fire & Safety to drive FLS design and compliance across high-rise projects in Bengaluru. You will coordinate with architects, MEP and project teams, ensuring fire protection systems meet NBC 2016, NFPA guidelines, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have 10-12 years of real estate industry experience.
• Develop and review Fire & Life Safety designs from concept through construction.
• Ensure compliance with NBC 2016, IS standards, NFPA where applicable, and Fire Dept regulations.
• Review drawings and vendor submissions for fire safety integration.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP and project teams to resolve clashes.
• Obtain design approvals and support Fire NOC processes.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review FLS designs for high-rise buildings from concept to construction.
• Ensure compliance with NBC 2016, IS standards, NFPA guidelines and local regulations.
• Review drawings to ensure fire safety integration across disciplines.
• Coordinate fire protection systems design including hydrants, sprinklers, pumps, alarms, and detection.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, façade and structural teams to resolve clashes.
• Support authorities for design approvals and NOC processes.
• Review consultant drawings, BOQs, specs and vendor submissions.
• Conduct evaluations of fire protection equipment and recommend systems.
• Participate in value engineering without compromising life safety.
• Monitor design changes and maintain updated documentation through lifecycle.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and inspections.
• Assist in tender documents and bid evaluations for fire protection systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved designs.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and improvements in fire safety.

• Monitor design changes and ensure updated documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support to project execution teams during installation, testing, commissioning, and final inspections.
• Assist in preparing tender documents, technical specifications, and bid evaluations for fire protection systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved fire safety designs.
• Support emergency preparedness planning and recommend improvements in fire & life safety measures.
• Keep abreast of the latest fire safety technologies, codes, and industry best practices.
