Job summary

JobItUs in Ahmedabad seeks a seasoned professional for lead generation, inquiry handling, tender support, and client coordination in fire & safety domains. You will assist the senior sales team, maintain CRM data, and help prepare techno-commercial proposals and BOQ costing.

Strong coordination across design, estimation, and project teams is essential. The role requires BE/BTech in Fire & Safety or related field, with NEBOSH/IFP/NFPA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Fire & Safety Eng, Mechanical or Electrical Eng; Diploma with relevant experience considered.
• Preferred certifications: NEBOSH, IFE, NFPA or equivalent fire safety certs.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation, CRM entry, and supporting business development activities.
• Handle inquiries, follow-ups, and ensure timely responses to client requirements.
• Assist in studying tender documents and preparing techno-commercial proposals.
• Coordinate with design/estimation team for BOQ and costing.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and OEMs; arrange meetings and site visits.
• Provide technical clarification and conduct product presentations and demos.
• Maintain documentation of inquiries, proposals, orders, and update CRM with pipeline.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Support
  • Assist in identifying new leads and project opportunities
  • Support senior sales team in business development activities
  • Maintain database of consultants, contractors, and clients
• Inquiry Handling & Follow-ups
  • Track incoming inquiries and update in CRM
  • Follow up with clients for requirements, drawings, and BOQ
  • Ensure timely response to all assigned inquiries
• Tender & Proposal Support
  • Assist in studying tender documents and specifications
  • Support in preparing techno-commercial proposals
  • Coordinate with design/estimation team for BOQ and costing
• Client Coordination
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and OEMs
  • Arrange meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Support in maintaining healthy client relationships
• Technical Learning & Support
  • Provide technical clarification and solution to clients
  • Conduct product presentations and system demonstrations
• Documentation & MIS Reporting
  • Maintain proper documentation of inquiries, proposals, and orders
  • Submit daily / weekly activity reports

  • Collect basic market data: Competitor activities, New projects in region

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. A Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Certifications (preferred): NEBOSH, IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers), NFPA certification, or equivalent fire safety/fire protection certification.

Experience

• Manager: 8–12 years of relevant experience in fire fighting/fire protection systems (design, execution, or project management).
• Sr. Manager: 12–18 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/team-handling role.

Industry Background

• Experience in fire fighting system installation companies, MEP contracting firms, real estate/infrastructure companies, or fire safety consultancies preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Sound knowledge of NBC (National Building Code), NFPA standards, local fire department norms, fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm & detection systems, gas suppression systems, and fire pump rooms.

Other Skills

• Strong knowledge of tendering, vendor management, project costing, and statutory/regulatory compliance (Fire NOC approvals, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design/estimation software is an added advantage.
