Job summary

POST A RESUME HR Consultancy is seeking experienced professionals to support business development in fire & safety engineering. The role covers lead generation, inquiry handling, tender support, and client coordination, interfacing with design and estimation teams for BOQ and costing.

The ideal candidate has BE/B.Tech in Fire & Safety or related fields with NEBOSH/IF E/NFPA certifications preferred, and 8–18 years of relevant experience across fire protection systems, design, or project

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical; Diploma considered with relevant experience.
• NEBOSH/IFE/NFPA certifications preferred or equivalent.
• 8–12 years for Manager role; 12–18 years for Sr. Manager with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Support: identify new leads and opportunities; support senior sales team; maintain database of consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Inquiry Handling & Follow-ups: track inquiries, update CRM, follow up with clients for requirements, drawings, and BOQ.
• Tender & Proposal Support: study tender docs, prepare techno-commercial proposals, coordinate with design/estimation for BOQ and costing.
• Client Coordination: coordinate with consultants, contractors, and OEMs; arrange meetings and site visits; maintain client relationships.
• Technical Learning & Support: provide technical clarification, conduct product presentations and demos.
• Documentation & MIS Reporting: document inquiries, proposals, orders; submit daily/weekly reports; keep CRM updated.
• Internal Coordination: collaborate with Design, Projects/Execution, and Purchase teams; ensure smooth information flow.
• Order Processing Support: assist in order finalization and handover to execution team.
• Market Research: collect basic market data on competitors and regional projects; share inputs with senior team.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Support

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Fire & Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. A Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Certifications (preferred): NEBOSH, IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers), NFPA certification, or equivalent fire safety/fire protection certification.

Experience

• Manager: 8–12 years of relevant experience in fire fighting/fire protection systems (design, execution, or project management).
• Sr. Manager: 12–18 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership/team-handling role.

Industry Background

• Experience in fire fighting system installation companies, MEP contracting firms, real estate/infrastructure companies, or fire safety consultancies preferred.

Technical Knowledge

• Sound knowledge of NBC (National Building Code), NFPA standards, local fire department norms, fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm & detection systems, gas suppression systems, and fire pump rooms.

Other Skills

• Strong knowledge of tendering, vendor management, project costing, and statutory/regulatory compliance (Fire NOC approvals, etc.). Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design/estimation software is an added advantage.
