Job summary

SB eCommerce Solutions Pvt Ltd in India seeks a senior Customs/EXIM leader to Design and implement a robust trade structure. You will own end-to-end schemes, including Advance Authorisation and EPCG, and drive compliance across DGFT, RBI, and banking interfaces.

You will also manage how we classify and value shipments, close bills, and provide accurate landed cost visibility by SKU as we expand into new markets. Delhi NCR experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in customs and EXIM, including in-house experience.
• Independent capability on Bill of Entry and Shipping Bill filing via ICEGATE and e-Sanchit.
• Imports from multiple source countries with varied documentation and duties.
• End-to-end scheme management — Advance Authorisation, EPCG, RoDTEP, DGFT norms.
• Hands-on EDPMS and IDPMS reconciliation; strong bank relationship experience.
• Solid classification and valuation judgement you can defend; Delhi NCR exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design a compliance framework for audits and defensible classifications.

• Create a closure discipline with redemption integrated into applications.
• Ensure clean banking reconciliation; close EDPMS/IDPMS entries promptly.

• Build trade structure for new markets as they open (Germany, UK, Australia).
• Oversee customs clearance across Delhi NCR stations and gateway ports.
• Manage DGFT licenses, IEC/RCMC maintenance, and related amendments.

We import polymers, tooling, machinery and consumables from several countries. We export to the US and Europe, with three more markets opening. Today it runs on agents and follow-up calls.

This isn't a clearance role. You'd design how we're structured for trade, then build the function that runs it.

What you'd build

• A compliance framework that holds up under audit three years later — classification and valuation positions documented and defensible, not improvised per consignment
• Scheme architecture. Advance Authorisation, EPCG, drawback, RoDTEP, IGCR — and a serious evaluation of MOOWR bonded manufacturing, which may be the highest-value single call in this role
• A closure discipline that actually closes. Licences applied for and then forgotten are how companies end up with bank guarantees outstanding and obligations they can't evidence. Redemption should be designed into the application, not discovered years later
• Clean banking reconciliation — EDPMS and IDPMS entries closed as they arise, not accumulated into a backlog
• Landed cost visibility by SKU, so sourcing decisions rest on real numbers
• Trade structure for Germany, Australia and the UK as they open

You'd own

Customs. Clearance across Delhi NCR stations — Tughlakabad, Patparganj, Ballabhgarh, Garhi Harsaru, IGI Air Cargo — and gateway ports. Bill of Entry and Shipping Bill filing, classification, valuation, duty, examination and query resolution.

DGFT. Licence applications and amendments on the DGFT portal. SION or ad-hoc norms fixation where no published norm fits our inputs. IEC and RCMC maintenance, export obligation extensions, relaxation applications, RoDTEP scrips.

Closure and redemption. Advance Authorisation redemption — proof of import and export, CA-certified consumption under Appendix 4H, EODC from the Regional Authority. EPCG — installation certificate, annual average and block-wise obligation tracking, EODC. Cancellation of bonds and bank guarantees with customs once closed.

Banking and RBI. EDPMS closure through the AD bank against the realisation window — unclosed shipping bills are how exporters end up caution-listed. IDPMS reconciliation of Bills of Entry against outward remittances. eBRC self-certification on the DGFT portal by mapping inward remittance messages. Note that eBRC and EDPMS are separate systems and generating one does not close the other — a distinction a surprising number of people get wrong.

Cost. Demurrage and detention treated as avoidable, not as a line item.

You need

• 8+ years in customs and EXIM, including in-house rather than only brokerage
• Independent capability on Bill of Entry and Shipping Bill filing via ICEGATE and e-Sanchit
• Imports from multiple source countries, with the different documentation, origin and duty treatment each brings
• Schemes administered end to end — application through to EODC. Anyone can apply for an Advance Authorisation. We want someone who has closed them
• Hands-on EDPMS and IDPMS reconciliation, and the AD bank relationships that make closures actually happen
• Strong classification and valuation judgement you can defend
• Delhi NCR station experience

we want you holding one in your own name. A G or H card stays with your broker, but a Self-category pass transfers between IEC holders — if you hold one, say so. Otherwise we sponsor and fund a fresh application from week one.
