Job summary

TUV India is seeking a Sr Manager/ Deputy General Manager / Associate General Manager Certification Operations in Mumbai to lead the Certification Operations team, oversee file reviews, audit decisions, and certificate issuance, and ensure compliance with ISO 17021-1 and TUV standards.

Ideal candidate has engineering or pure sciences degree with Lead Auditor qualification, 10+ years experience including 3+ in a CB, strong leadership and stakeholder management, and hands-on expertise in auditing

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical/ Production/ Electrical) or Pure Sciences with Lead Auditor qualification for ISO 9001.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience, including at least 3 years in a Certification Body.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Certification Operations team involved in file reviews, certification decisions, offer reviews, auditor qualification management and certificate issuance activities in line with TUV India/TUV NORD and ISO 17021-1 / scheme-specific requirements.
• Monitor & ensure that Offer Review Approvals, as well as Audit Team & Effort Approvals (ATEA), are done in line with organizational and accreditation requirements in a timely manner.
• Carry out completeness checks of audit reports for initial, main, surveillance, special, recertification and transfer audits for various management system standards.
• Maintain updated records and database of qualifications and experience of Auditors, Lead Auditors and Specialists within their area.
• Liaise, Facilitate & Manage processes related to audit activities for TNCERT subsidiaries, including auditor assignment, execution and invoicing.
• Ensure the TUV India / TUV NORD Quality Management System is complied with for all certification activities.
• Prohibit & report any deviations to the Manager - Accreditation &/or Cluster Head.
• Report on suspension, withdrawal and cancellation of certificates and other accreditation-related activities.
• Participate in accreditation audits and demonstrate compliances.
• Provide training to personnel per TUV India / TUV NORD requirements.
• Support HO operations aspects pertaining to scheme-specific requirements.
• Support the network and CB team on technical matters for all schemes.
• Undertake internal compliance audits for certification activities as per internal audit schedule.
• Support Corporate Management System initiatives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

• Responsible to manage the Certification Operations team involved in processes related to file reviews, certification decisions, offer reviews, audit effort approvals, auditor qualification management and certificate issuance activities in line with TUV India/TUV NORD and ISO 17021-1 / scheme-specific requirements, as applicable.
• Monitor & ensure that Offer Review Approvals, as well as Audit Team & Effort Approvals (ATEA), are done in line with the organizational as well as accreditation requirements in a timely manner.
• Carry out completeness checks of audit reports for different types of audits performed e.g. initial audit, main audit, routine surveillance audits, special audits, recertification audit and transfer audits for various management system standards.
• Maintain updated records and database of the qualifications and experience of Auditors, Lead Auditors and Specialists within their area that are allocated to deliver as per the System Certification contracts, and to ensure that only personnel approved through the CDS team are employed upon such activities.
• Liaise, Facilitate & Manage the processes related to audit activities for TNCERT subsidiaries, including auditor assignment, execution and invoicing for the same.
• Ensure the TUV India / TUV NORD Quality Management System is complied with for all certification activities.
• Prohibit & report any technical deviations to the Manager - Accreditation &/or Cluster Head directly related to the concerned area office.
• Report on matters relating to the suspension, withdrawal and cancellation of certificates and other accreditation-related activities within the area of responsibility.
• Participate and cooperate in demonstrating compliances during Accreditation audits.
• Ensure appropriate training of all personnel in accordance with the TUV India / TUV NORD Management System requirements (both local and global).
• Provide technical & operational support to all PC Heads, Product Managers, Planners & Sales team within Cluster India for any HO operations aspects pertaining to any scheme-specific requirements.
• Support the TUV India / TUV NORD network and TUV NORD CB team on any technical matters for all schemes covering management systems as well as second party audits.
• Undertake internal compliance audits for the certification activities within Cluster India, in accordance with the formal internal audit schedule.
• Support the ongoing implementation of Corporate Management System initiatives within TUV India.
