Job summary

TÜV SÜD South Asia Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai seeks an experienced Lead Auditor to strengthen our food safety and QA/QC programs.

You will audit production environments, verify HACCP plans, and guide teams toward continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Food Industry in Production or Quality Control.
• Lead Auditor courses in BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and/or ISO 9001.
• Knowledge of Food Processing, Hazard Analysis, and prerequisite programs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out internal and supplier audits to verify QA/QC processes.
• Review HACCP plans, PRPs, and GMP compliance for production lines.
• Lead and train teams on food safety standards and corrective actions.
• Prepare audit reports, non-conformance tracking, and CAPA planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.

Your Tasks

• Candidate must hold a degree in Food or related Science with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Food Industry in Production / Quality Control.
• The candidate should have successfully completed Lead Auditor courses in BRCGS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, and/or ISO 9001.
• The Candidate must have knowledge about Food Porcessing, Hazard Analysis, Pre-requisite programs etc..
• Good communication Skills
• The candidate must have thorough knowlede on Quality Assuarance and Quality control system.

Certification Requirement

• Lead Auditor training in ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and BRC GS Food.
• 2 Days course in HACCP.
• Food defense and Food fraud training followed by exam.
• Relevant PRPs - ISO/TS 22002 series followed by exam.

Your Qualification

• B.Tech Food Technology or any other food related degree
