Job summary

Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation (A unit of Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd.) is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to deliver technically compliant LV/MV switchboard solutions and optimize costs through design excellence.

You will interpret customer requirements, review tender specs, produce single-line diagrams, BOQs, and collaborate with panel builders, BD teams, and sales to drive value engineering while adhering to standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AUTOCAD, E3, EPLAN Electrical SLD and LV switchboard projects.
• Experience in interpreting tender specs and drawing single line diagrams.
• Knowledge of cost optimization and value engineering in switchboard design.
• Understanding of standards and approvals for electrical switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Reviews tender specs, single line diagrams, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Converts customer needs into viable switchboard configurations aligned to standards.
• Identifies deviations, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Supports cost reduction and value engineering projects.
• Conducts design guideline training for franchisees and teams.

To deliver technically compliant, cost‑optimized, and competitive switchboard solutions by applying strong application engineering expertise.

Partnering with panel builder team/LK BD/Segment/IA Teams, and enabling customization ,standardization, approval, and continuous improvement in LV switchboards.

Ability to interpret customer requirements and apply switchboard engineering principles to design compliant and optimized solutions.

• Reviews and assists panel builder team on tender specifications, single line diagrams, BOQs, and technical requirements accurately.


• Converts consultant and customer needs into viable switchboard configurations aligned to standards to assist panel builders.


• Identifies technical deviations, risks, and optimization opportunities in proposed solutions.


• Ensures adherence to internal design guidelines, standards, and approvals.


• Supports franchisees in optimizing quotations without compromising compliance.


• Participates effectively in technical discussions with consultants, customers, sales, and BD teams.


• Reviews existing product offerings and solution designs for optimization opportunities.


• Initiates and supports cost reduction or value engineering projects.


• Conducts training on design guidelines, Educates franchisees on costing methods, estimation logic, and assumptions

Proficient in -AUTOCAD , E3,EPLAN ELECTRICAL SLD, SCHEMES , LV SWICTHBOARD PROJECTS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. EXPERIENCE DRAW-OUT SWITCHBOARD AND MV ADDDED ADVANATGE.

B.E. - Electrical – 5-10 years of experience in relevant industry
