Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager - Process Innovation Cell to lead the Process Innovation function across multiple manufacturing plants of Spectrum Electrical Industries Limited. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and Management Information Systems (MIS). The role will be responsible for driving manufacturing excellence through process standardization, digital transformation, capacity enhancement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across all business units.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Process Innovation:

• Develop and execute the organization’s Process Innovation roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Standardize manufacturing processes across all manufacturing plants.
• Drive automation, digital manufacturing, and smart factory initiatives.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement sustainable solutions to improve productivity, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, SCM, Maintenance, Engineering, and Business Heads to achieve operational excellence.

2. Industrial Engineering Activities / Lean Manufacturing:

• Lead Industrial Engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Conduct and standardize Time Study, Motion Study, and Work Measurement activities.
• Perform Man-Machine Analysis and optimize manpower utilization.
• Drive Line Balancing and Productivity Improvement projects.
• Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing tools including:

3. Plant Layout & Capacity Enhancement:

• Analyze existing plant capacities and develop strategies for capacity enhancement.
• Design optimized plant layouts using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Improve material flow, machine utilization, and workplace ergonomics.
• Support greenfield and brownfield expansion projects.
• Lead initiatives to maximize productivity while minimizing operational costs.

4. MIS & MES:

• Lead the implementation, enhancement, and governance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Develop and standardize Management Information Systems (MIS) across all manufacturing locations.
• Design executive dashboards and manufacturing KPIs for real-time decision-making.
• Ensure seamless integration between ERP, MES, automation systems, and shop-floor operations.
• Drive data accuracy, digital reporting, and manufacturing analytics.

5. Training & Organizational Development:

• Develop and implement competency-building programs in Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering.
• Conduct leadership, supervisor, and operator training on manufacturing best practices.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across all plants.
• Promote knowledge sharing and best practice replication between manufacturing locations.

6. Leadership & Management:

• Lead and manage the Process Innovation Cell across multiple manufacturing plants.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing Process Innovation teams.
• Drive cross-functional improvement projects and monitor execution.
• Present strategic improvement initiatives, KPI reviews, and project status to senior leadership.
• Establish governance mechanisms for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master's Degree (MBA/ME/M.Tech) will be preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification will be an added advantage.
• 12-20 years of experience in Process Innovation, Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, MIS, and MES within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in leading manufacturing excellence and business transformation initiatives across multiple plants.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, Industrial Engineering, operational excellence, and digital manufacturing.
• Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred), MES implementation, automation, and manufacturing analytics.
• Excellent leadership, strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities with the capability to influence cross-functional teams.
