Job summary

Hr Services Chandigarh is seeking a Production Planning & Inventory Control (PPIC) professional to develop and manage production plans aligned with forecasts and demand. You will coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, and Sales to ensure timely material availability and on-time output.

The role emphasizes ERP/SAP data entry, MRP reporting, and MIS generation, with a focus on maintaining optimal stock levels and driving continuous improvements across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on sales forecasts and customer demand.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to planned manufacturing timelines.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to achieve targeted output.
• Review capacity utilization and identify bottlenecks affecting production schedules.
• Ensure availability of raw materials and packaging materials for planned production.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Monitor stock movements and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Conduct inventory analysis to minimize excess stock and prevent shortages.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate with Procurement for timely sourcing of materials.
• Track supplier deliveries and ensure material availability as per production plans.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Warehouse teams for dispatch planning and order fulfilment.
• Monitor supply chain performance and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, and internal quality systems.
• Maintain planning, inventory, and material transactions in ERP/SAP systems.
• Generate MRP reports and analyse material requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to production and inventory.
• Maintain accurate records and support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with Sales and Marketing teams for demand forecasting.
• Work closely with QA/QC, Production, Warehouse, and Procurement departments.
• Support new product launches through effective planning and material readiness.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency
