Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot faults in motors, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, soft starters, switchgear, and transformers.
  • Maintain PLC, HMI, sensors, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of electrical distribution systems; monitor power consumption for energy conservation.
  • Carry out maintenance of conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and packaging machines.
  • Coordinate with production for planned shutdowns and plant maintenance activities.
  • Drive TPM/Kaizen and RCA initiatives; maintain equipment history in SAP/CMMS.

Job Description:

To ensure uninterrupted plant operations through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production equipment, utilities, electrical systems, and plant machinery. The role is responsible for improving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance (Mandatory)
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify faults in motors, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, soft starters, switchgear, transformers, and control panels.
  • Maintain PLC, HMI, sensors, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Ensure reliability and availability of electrical distribution systems.
  • Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities for energy conservation.
  • Conduct electrical inspections, thermography, and condition monitoring activities.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and LOTO procedures.
Mechanical Maintenance
  • Carry out maintenance of conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, packaging machines, and material handling equipment.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to improve plant reliability.
  • Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with production teams for planned shutdowns and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to increase equipment efficiency.
Utilities & Plant Services
  • Support maintenance activities related to boilers, air compressors, chillers, refrigeration systems, water treatment systems, and HVAC equipment.
  • Ensure uninterrupted utility supply for production operations.
  • Monitor utility performance parameters and recommend optimization initiatives.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive TPM, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and breakdown reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain equipment history records and maintenance documentation in SAP/CMMS.
  • Participate in OEE improvement projects and reliability enhancement programs.
  • Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and automation projects.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with food safety requirements, GMP, HACCP, and EHS standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe maintenance practices.
  • Follow permit-to-work systems and statutory maintenance requirements.
  • Participate in safety audits and corrective action implementation.
