Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a senior electrical maintenance leader for a chemical/process manufacturing plant in India. You will lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across all electrical systems, drive reliability, and oversee power distribution and plant expansion projects.

The role requires 15+ years in chemicals or continuous process industries, a BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, SAP PM/CMMS exposure, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Chemical, Petrochemical, or continuous process industries.
• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• Exposure to SAP PM and CMMS platforms is advantageous.
• Strong experience with HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution.
• Knowledge of LOTO, PTW, and electrical safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across electrical systems.
• Ensure uptime of HT/LT systems, MCCs/PCCs, VFDs, motors, and panels.
• Drive reliability improvement using RCA/RCM and predictive maintenance.
• Oversee budgets, spare parts, SAP/CMMS records, audits, and KPI reporting.
• Mentor engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contract manpower; enforce safety culture.

Job Description

• Lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities across all plant electrical systems.
• Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, motors, UPS, DG sets, and electrical panels.
• Manage plant-wide power distribution and ensure uninterrupted electrical supply for continuous operations.
• Drive reliability improvement through RCA, RCM, predictive maintenance, and optimization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, LOTO, and Permit-to-Work systems.
• Execute electrical projects, plant expansion activities, modifications, and commissioning assignments.
• Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contract manpower while building a strong safety culture.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare inventories, SAP/CMMS records, audits, KPIs, and MIS reporting.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

• 15+ years of experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Specialty Chemicals, Fertilizers, APIs, or other continuous process industries.
• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Electrical Supervisor Competency Certificate would be an advantage.
• Strong experience in HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, switchgear, MCC/PCC, power distribution, motors, VFDs, DG sets, UPS systems, and electrical panels.
• Experience in preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
• Hands-on exposure to SAP PM and/or CMMS platforms.
• Knowledge of PLC/DCS coordination, energy management, vendor management, and project execution.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety systems, LOTO, PTW, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, planning, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to operate effectively in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
