Job summary

Emotorad is seeking a maintenance professional to lead preventive and breakdown maintenance for its plant equipment in Pune. The role emphasizes energy management under ISO 50001, utility and infrastructure upkeep, and strict adherence to safety and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance for plant machinery and equipment.
• Attend machine breakdowns and minimize downtime.
• Maintain machine history cards, logs and breakdown analyses.
• Manage utilities and infrastructure including compressors, DG sets, electrical panels, HVAC, lighting and air lines.
• Ensure readiness for audits (customer, statutory, safety, Sedex, ISO, internal) and close observations.
• Support ISO 50001 energy management implementation and monitor energy use.
• Promote safe working practices and regulatory compliance; support 5S, TPM and continuous improvement.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance activities for all plant machinery and equipment.
• Attend machine breakdowns and ensure minimum downtime.

• Maintain machine history cards, maintenance logs, and breakdown analysis records.

2. Utility & Infrastructure Management

• Ensure proper functioning of utilities such as compressors, DG sets, electrical panels, HVAC systems, lighting, and air lines.
• Monitor factory infrastructure and ensure all maintenance activities are completed within timelines.

• Ensure availability and upkeep of firefighting and emergency systems.

3. Audit & Compliance Management

• Ensure readiness and compliance for all factory-related audits including customer audits, statutory audits, safety audits, Sedex audits, ISO audits, and internal audits.
• Maintain all maintenance-related documents, records, checklists, calibration reports, and compliance registers required during audits.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments to close audit observations and corrective actions within defined timelines.
• Ensure adherence to factory safety standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
• Support implementation and sustenance of 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

4. ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS)

• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 50001 Energy Management System requirements.
• Monitor energy consumption of machines and utilities and maintain energy records.
• Identify opportunities for energy conservation and implement energy-saving initiatives.
• Maintain Energy Performance Indicators (EnPIs), energy baseline records, and related documentation.
• Participate in internal and external ISO 50001 audits and ensure closure of audit findings.

5. Safety & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure safe working practices during all maintenance activities.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical and mechanical systems to identify unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to electrical safety, machine guarding, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Support EHS initiatives and emergency preparedness activities.

6. Spare Management & Documentation

• Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and consumables.
• Raise purchase requisitions and ensure timely availability of materials. Maintain maintenance SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules, utility logs, and audit documents.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Recommend improvements for machine efficiency, reliability, and energy optimization.
• Participate in cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives.
