Job summary

Skills Café is seeking an experienced instructional designer to craft end-to-end learning journeys across ILT, VILT, eLearning and blended formats in India.

You will lead client discussions, translate needs into structured designs (HLDs/LLDs), develop facilitator guides, and mentor junior designers while leveraging AI to enhance content creation and impact measurement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, LXD, or L&D consulting.
• Specialisation in behavioural and soft skills learning development is essential.
• Background in Psychology, Organisational Behaviour, or HRD is preferred.
• Expertise in game-based, experiential, and story-driven learning design.
• Proficiency in authoring tools — Articulate 360, Vyond, or equivalent.
• Strong command of adult learning theory, behaviour change models, and ID frameworks (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's).
• Experience designing for both ILT and virtual/digital formats.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in a learning design or content development workflow.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers, formally or informally.
• Strong written communication — compelling narratives, scenario scripts, and learner-facing content.
• Certification in instructional design, psychology, coaching, or facilitation is an advantage.

• Create immersive formats (simulations, role plays, storytelling, gamification)
