Job summary

Steel Infra Solutions (SISCOL) invites applications for Senior/Junior Modeler with 5 to 10 years of experience in detailing structural drawings. The role requires proficiency in TEKLA and AutoCAD, with a strong grasp of AISC, OSHA, AWS standards and the ability to interpret complex design drawings.

The candidate will generate GA and Shop drawings, prepare material lists, and draft RFIs, ensuring accuracy and conformance to client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering required; TEKLA exp may substitute degree.
• Working knowledge of AISC codes, OSHA, AWS, and related standards is a must.
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural/architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate detailing platforms such as TEKLA and AutoCAD.
• Prepare GA drawings, Shop drawings and related reports.
• Prepare Bill of Material, Title Block, Template and Reports as per client requirements.
• Suggest connections where drawings lack information, with architect/engineer approval.
• Generate RFIs and update model per RFIs from customer.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines.

Job description

Senior modeler/Junior modeler

(Modeler with 5 to 10 yrs experience) 3 Openings

Roles and Responsibilities
• Serve as a support analyst and operate detailing platforms such as TEKLA, AutoCAD, etc.
• Must comply with the requirements of the design drawings and all industry standards and protocols, such as those established by AISC, AWS and comply with current OSHA, and NISD guidelines
• Prepares Bill of Material, Title Block, Template, and Reports as per Clients requirement
• Strong knowledge of member placement
• The Senior Modeler will suggest connections wherever drawings have insufficient information, subject to the approval of the architect and structural engineer
• Generates the GA drawings, Shop drawings with related reports
• Accurately complete and check all necessary system input for finalization of model and Bill of Materials
• Prepares the RFIs and updates in the model as per RFIs response from the customer
• Should be strong in custom component and auto connections.

Qualifications and Technical Competencies
• Bachelors/Diploma degree of civil or mechanical engineering is required - work experience in TEKLA may substitute as an equivalent to a Bachelor’s/Diploma degree
• Working knowledge of AISC codes, OSHA, AWS, and other standards are a must
• Strong experience in reading and interpreting structural/architectural design drawings
