Job summary

Sloan Global, Inc. is seeking a Tekla Modeler (AISC) to create, modify and manage detailed 3D steel structures. The role focuses on Tekla Structures modeling, shop and erection drawings, and ensuring compliance with AISC standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, detailers, and project managers to resolve design issues and support project schedules. This is a full-time on-site position in the Greater Chennai Area.

Qualifications

Role Description The Tekla Modeler (AISC) will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed 3D steel structures using Tekla Structures in accordance with AISC standards and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and coordinating structural and steel detailing models, developing accurate shop and erection drawings, and ensuring that models meet client, engineering, and fabrication requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with engineers, detailers, and project managers to resolve design issues, maintain model accuracy, and support project schedules and deliverables. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Chennai Area, requiring regular coordination with local and global project teams and adherence to company quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for steel modeling and detailing, with familiarity in AISC standards and practices.
• Experience in structural and steel design and detailing, including connection detailing, fabrication shop drawings, and erection drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents, with solid understanding of structural concepts.
• Skills in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, detailers, and project managers, and managing revisions and change requests.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and commitment to accuracy, quality control, and project deadlines.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD tools and basic office productivity software; familiarity with BIM workflows is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline; prior experience in steel detailing or modeling is highly desirable.
• Willingness to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area and support multiple projects in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.
