Role Overview

As a Senior Investment Analyst, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy, identify differentiated investment opportunities with the potential to generate superior returns, and contribute to a culture that values continuous learning, independent thinking, and differentiated insights over consensus views.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine passion for equities. They should be proactive, take ownership of their work, and be comfortable conducting both field-based and desk-based research.

The Senior Investment Analyst will also mentor and guide junior analysts, enabling them to effectively cover high-potential companies through thoughtful delegation, review, and oversight. The role will support the Fund Manager with high-quality research, actionable insights, and well-reasoned investment theses to inform investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, analyse, and communicate high-potential investment opportunities through in-depth fundamental research, with a strong focus on accounting principles, business quality, valuation, and risk-reward dynamics across various business cycles.
  • Develop a deep understanding of businesses, including their competitive landscape, industry structure, and value chain comprising vendors, customers, regulators, financiers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct detailed financial statement analysis and assess the quality, sustainability, and underlying drivers of business performance.
  • Present well-researched, clearly articulated investment ideas and recommendations to the Fund Manager, supported by a robust investment thesis and appropriate risk‑reward assessment.
  • Conduct company and site visits and engage with relevant stakeholders, including management teams, vendors, customers, competitors, regulators, and financiers, to develop a comprehensive understanding of business prospects, industry dynamics, and key growth drivers.
  • Conduct thorough ground‑level due diligence, including channel checks and industry research, to validate investment hypotheses and identify emerging opportunities or risks.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts, effectively delegating, reviewing, and supervising research assignments to strengthen sector and company coverage.
  • Take ownership of assigned sectors and companies, continuously monitor developments, and proactively identify factors that may materially impact the investment thesis.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, company announcements, regulatory changes, macroeconomic trends, and other relevant information that may influence investment opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a strong reading habit and the ability to absorb, analyse, and synthesise large volumes of information effectively.
  • Maintain a high standard of work ethic, self‑motivation, independent thinking, diligence, and accountability, with a strong focus on quality, timelines, and outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
