Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services is seeking an experienced Inventory/Stores Supervisor for an on-site role in Mumbai. The candidate will manage stock records across warehouses and customer sites, track batch numbers and expiry dates, and rotate stock to avoid expiry.

Qualifications

• Batch and expiry tracking with FIFO discipline.
• Medical device/pharma distribution experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock records for every device across the warehouse and consignment accounts at customer sites.

• Raise purchase orders against stock levels and demand; verify inbound deliveries; post GRN in Tally.
• Generate delivery challans and coordinate dispatch with correct batch/quantity; ensure traceability.
• Lead a small stores team; set daily work and review entries.
• Build weekly/monthly stock reports in Excel (SKU-wise, customer-wise, expiry-wise); flag slow-moving/near expiry stock.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

• Maintain stock records for every device across the warehouse and the consignment accounts held at customer sites.
• Track batch numbers and expiry dates on each unit, and rotate stock so nothing reaches expiry sitting on a shelf.
• Run physical stock counts, reconcile them against Tally, and investigate any difference until it closes.
• Raise purchase orders against stock levels and demand, verify inbound deliveries, and post GRN entries in Tally.
• Generate delivery challans and coordinate dispatch with the correct batch and quantity, keeping traceability complete at every handover.
• Lead a small stores team, set the daily work, and review the entries they make.
• Build weekly and monthly stock reports in Excel, SKU-wise, customer-wise and expiry-wise, and flag slow-moving and near-expiry stock early.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 5+ years in inventory, stores or supply chain, with personal responsibility for stock accuracy.
• Tally, hands-on and daily: stock entries, GRN, purchase orders, delivery challans.
• Advanced Excel: lookups and pivot tables, and building the stock and expiry reports rather than filling in someone else's template.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Batch and expiry tracking, and FIFO rotation discipline.
• A background in medical device, pharmaceutical, surgical or diagnostics distribution is a plus.

Note:

• Working week is Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6.30pm, with Saturdays finishing at 4.30pm. The role is on-site at Ghatkopar West, Mumbai, so please be realistic about the daily commute before applying.
• Tally and advanced Excel are assessed at the interview and not taken on trust. Candidates strong on stores but light on either will not clear this process.
• The role is hands-on as well as supervisory. The team is small, and the person in this seat does the work as well as reviewing it.
