Job summary

Yasho Industries is seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources for its manufacturing plant in Gujarat. You will lead the entire HR function, aligning people strategies with business objectives, managing talent acquisition, PMS, IR/ER, and compliance across the plant.

You will drive workforce planning, learning and development, compensation, and employee engagement, ensuring data-driven HR operations and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • MBA/PGDM in HR or related field from a reputed institute.
  • 12–18 years of HR experience in manufacturing/chemical/process industry.
  • Strong exposure to plant HR, IR, and labour law compliance.
  • Proven experience handling large workforce and plant operations.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the complete HR function for the manufacturing plant.

Job description

Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage the complete Human Resources function for the manufacturing plant, ensuring effective manpower planning, talent management, employee relations, statutory compliance, organizational development, and HR operational excellence while supporting business growth.


Key Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering


  • Align HR initiatives with business objectives and manufacturing goals.

  • Partner with Plant Head and Functional Leaders on workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

  • Drive HR policies, processes, and best practices across the plant.

  • Support business expansion, productivity, and employee capability-building initiatives.


2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning


  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant, technical, engineering, and support functions.

  • Develop sourcing channels for skilled and semi-skilled manpower.

  • Coordinate campus hiring, apprenticeships, and trainee programs.

  • Ensure timely manpower availability for production requirements.


3. Performance Management


  • Drive the Performance Management System (PMS) and annual appraisal process.

  • Facilitate goal setting, performance reviews, and developmental planning.

  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

  • Monitor employee productivity and performance metrics.


4. Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Relations (ER)


  • Maintain harmonious industrial relations across the plant.

  • Liaise with government offices and employee committees where applicable.

  • Handle grievance management, disciplinary actions, domestic inquiries, and conflict resolution.

  • Ensure adherence to standing orders and company policies.


5. Statutory Compliance & Labor Laws


  • Ensure compliance with:


    • Factories Act

    • Industrial Relations Code

    • Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions Code

    • Contract Labour Regulations

    • EPF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, and other labour laws


  • Coordinate statutory audits and inspections.

  • Manage labour contractor compliance and documentation.


6. Learning & Development


  • Identify training needs across departments.

  • Develop technical, behavioural, and leadership training programs.

  • Monitor training effectiveness and competency improvement.

  • Promote a continuous learning culture.


7. Compensation & Benefits


  • Support salary benchmarking and compensation reviews.

  • Manage payroll governance and employee benefit programs.

  • Ensure accuracy of employee records and HR data.

  • Participate in annual compensation planning exercises.


8. Employee Engagement & Culture


  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities.

  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and action planning.

  • Drive communication initiatives and recognition programs.

  • Promote company values and positive workplace culture.


9. HR Operations & Digitalization


  • Oversee HRMS, employee data management, and HR analytics.

  • Ensure timely onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and exit processes.

  • Generate HR dashboards and management reports.

  • Drive HR process improvement and digitization initiatives.


10. EHS and Manufacturing Support


  • Collaborate with EHS teams to promote safety culture.

  • Participate in safety committee meetings and audits.

  • Support behaviour-based safety and compliance programs.

  • Ensure HR support during emergencies and crisis management situations.


Educational Qualification


  • MBA/PGDM in HR / MSW / MHRM from a reputed institute.

  • Additional qualification in Labour Laws, IR, or Factory HR preferred.


Experience


  • 12 to 18 years of HR experience in manufacturing/chemical/process industry.

  • Strong exposure to plant HR, IR, and labour law compliance.

  • Proven experience handling large workforce and plant operations.
